We are so excited to announce that Smith’s (Gloucester) Ltd has become the third official Employer Partner of AccXel!
As you may already be aware, our Employer Partners have pledged to give our apprentices their first on-site experience whilst they are studying at our training facility in Gloucestershire, the Forest of Dean.
Speaking on the partnership announcement Nicola Bird, our Founder and Director, has said “We are particularly excited about our partnership with Smith’s, as they are another family-owned business that have values very much in line with our own. They are currently championing environmental sustainability within the construction sector, which is one of the many reasons we are delighted to have Smith’s on board as an Employer Partner.”
Smith’s (Gloucester) Ltd was set up in 1982 by Alan Smith as a single owner operated Plant Hire company and has been run by his family ever since. The business has grown to be one of the largest construction companies in the South-West.
The company specialises in groundworks, civil engineering and waste management and operates across the South-West of England and South Wales. Smith’s currently has depots situated in Cardiff, Avonmouth, Eastington, Gloucester and Tewkesbury and are growing at an exceptional rate.
