It’s that time of week again, where we reveal a bit more about our newest Employer Partner. This week we have the privilege to share a bit more about our partner, Ingenium Civil Engineering!
Ingenium is a multi-disciplined contractor that works across the Health, Power, Highways, Residential and Commercial sectors. They are known for their specialist knowledge in RC substructure & superstructure, groundworks, landscaping, drainage and earthworks. They operate all along the M4 corridor, from Swansea to Reading, and also cover the whole South West region.
Although Ingenium is a new name for some, they have a much longer history than you may be aware of. Ingenium was originally founded by Keith Collier in 1997 under the name Southtrade Limited. In 2018, Keith retired from the company and passed down the family business to his son, Matt Collier. That same year Southtrade Limited underwent an official rebrand to become what we now know as Ingenium Civil Engineering. Shortly after their rebrand, Michael Green joined the company as a Director alongside Matt.
Prior to becoming Ingenium, the company’s reputation for providing the best quality services, maintaining the highest level of health and safety standards and having a team full of consummate professionals has long preceded them.
As part of their partnership with AccXel, Ingenium have pledged to upskill their current workforce using our Skill STEPS Programme. They now consider AccXel as their primary training provider and have already reserved 8 Skill STEPS places for 2022, ranging from labourer, right up to Senior Site supervisor positions.

Their passion and eagerness to be involved with AccXel from the get-go has meant that they will be in pole position to take advantage of apprenticeship places in 2023.
