Who are Bouygues UK?

Bouygues UK is one of the leading construction companies in Britain. They focus their work in sectors where they feel their team’s knowledge, skills and experience are of the most value. They are best known for their impeccable work across the residential, healthcare and education sectors. Some of their recent high-profile projects include The Stratford Skyscraper situated in East London, Cardiff University’s Innovation Campus and Bristol’s highest residential tower Castle Park View. Bouygues are not just known for their immaculately finished projects, but also for championing corporate and social responsibility.

In 2016, when work on the Ysgol Bae Baglan development in Port Talbot they became aware that domestic abuse was a huge problem in the area. They employed cleaners for this site through local charity Thrive Women’s Aid. The charity supports women who have suffered from domestic violence get their independence back through helping them return to work. Bouygues have continued to support Thrive Women’s Aid ever since. With Bouygues’ support Thrive has blossomed and has employed 44 more women to work within the social enterprise.

Partnering with AccXel

At AccXel we strive to form partnerships with companies that share our values and beliefs. Bouygues’ corporate & social responsibility is one of the major attributes that has set them apart from any other construction company. Bouygues have also created a new policy recently which allows their staff paid leave to help humanitarian crises. This was implemented so that they could volunteer to help Ukrainian refugees with immediate effect.

“We are thrilled to have secured this partnership with Bouygues UK” said Nicola Bird, AccXel’s Founder and CEO. “I have been aware of pursuits to drive change within the sector and their charitable endeavours for quite some time. We are also trying to drive change within the sector, particularly in improving diversity, championing employee welfare and promoting sustainability. Our two companies have aligned core values, which will make this a perfect partnership.”
